/web-typography

Picks fonts and pairs them, then sets text sizes, line spacing and how fonts load.

Example

/web-typography pair a serif with Instrument Sans for the notes page

Design skills from wondelai based on books and known methods: Refactoring UI, web typography, usability rules of thumb, microinteractions, Don Norman's principles, Apple's design guidelines (HIG), and retention and habit design. Plain text only; nothing runs.

Skip it when: Choosing a page's whole look. Impeccable and Hallmark own that.
Best for: Font choices, fixing what stands out on a page, and usability checks based on a named method.
Changes: Changes code
Notes: Steve Jobs review and the heuristic audit run only when you type them, so a review never starts uninvited. The rest can start on their own when you talk about type, hierarchy or usability.

Skills it uses

web-typographySelect, pair, and implement typefaces for web projects. Use when the user mentions "font pairing", "which typeface", "line height", "responsive typography", "web font loading", "type hierarchy", "variable fonts", "FOUT/FOIT", "typographic scale", or "the text is hard to read". Also trigger when choosing between system fonts and web fonts, optimizing font-loading performance, or designing readable long-form content. Covers readability evaluation, CSS implementation, and performance optimization. For overall UI design systems, see refactoring-ui.
